Starkey Hearing Foundation is abundantly grateful for the opportunity to work with such exceptional organizations.

Delta Zeta Sorority
Starkey Hearing Foundation is an important part of Delta Zeta’s national philanthropy for speech and hearing. Alumnae and collegiate chapters collect funds for future hearing missions, as well as donated hearing aids for the Foundation’s Hear Now program, which assists deaf and hard-of-hearing persons in the United States with limited financial resources. Delta Zeta also commits to tireless volunteer hours at many Starkey fundraising events including their annual So the World May Hear Awards Gala.
“A Time to Care” — Delta Zeta’s national philanthropy is speech, hearing and The Painted Turtle camp, supported by both collegiate and alumnae chapters. Delta Zeta’s partnerships with The Painted Turtle and Starkey Hearing Foundation were announced at their 2006 National Convention. The sorority supports several programs for the hearing and speech impaired. The national philanthropic project is the Sound Beginnings Program which raises awareness for newborn hearing screening. All of these important programs provide additional volunteer and giving opportunities for collegiate and alumnae members.

Starkey Hearing Foundation is proud to partner with the GRAMMY Foundation® and MusiCares®. The GRAMMY Foundation was established to cultivate the understanding, appreciation and advancement of the contribution of recorded music to American culture. MusiCares provides emergency financial assistance, confidential resources and a safety net of services for music people in times of need. “Music is such an important part of our culture; it connects us to special moments in our life and the people who shared those moments,” said Debbie Wright, executive director of Starkey Hearing Foundation. “This is why the GRAMMY Foundation and MusiCares — the two charities of The Recording Academy® — are natural partners.”
Starkey Hearing Foundation joined GRAMMY Career Day at the University of Southern California during GRAMMY Week 2008. While music professionals educated high school students about careers available in music and offered guidance on how to prepare for them, Starkey donated hearing instruments to LA area children with hearing loss so they could HEAR THE MUSIC! Additionally, in an ongoing effort to promote hearing conservation with music professionals, Starkey provides Personal Audio Monitors and musician filtered earplugs to performing artists in need. “The GRAMMY Foundation and MusiCares are especially pleased to collaborate with a partner as innovative and passionate as Starkey Hearing Foundation,” said Kristen Madsen, GRAMMY Foundation and MusiCares Senior Vice President. “Working together we bring a heightened awareness to our shared message of the importance of hearing health.”
